Dizziness and Headaches
I find it shocking that so many people suffer from dizziness and headaches and just put up with it! I see patients on a daily basis who are complaining of these issues and they all say they wished they had come to see me sooner!
Dizziness
There are several causes of dizziness and sometimes people can have more than one cause at the same time. The 2 types of dizziness I may be able to help with are cervicogenic dizziness and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
Cervicogenic dizziness simply means that the dizziness originates from the neck and Chiropractic has been shown to help alleviate the symptoms by treating the neck and upper back areas.
BPPV is where the crystals inside the inner ear become loose and move around the channels, symptoms typically occur when turning over in bed or with similar movements. The main treatment for this is The Epley Manoeuvre, which I am trained to do. It is usually only needed once or twice per episode.
Headaches
Whilst there are many causes for headaches, I have found that the majority of patients that I have seen get some, if not complete relief with Chiropractic Adjustments.
Cervicogenic headache simply means the cause of the headache is coming from the neck and I have found Chiropractic to be very successful in treating these.
Tension headaches are usually the result of stress and also respond well to Chiropractic.
Migraines can vary a lot in how they present, I cannot claim to cure these but migraine sufferers tend to get some relief with Chiropractic.
